BAIRC is a broad-based coalition of individuals and organizations working to build a unified voice for immigrant rights that transforms and improves the lives of immigrants. We do this by forging strong, working relationships between member organizations, advocating for just public policies, raising public awareness about the rights and living conditions of immigrants, and increasing the capacity of member organizations to work on immigrant issues. |

Principles of Unity |
|
We value:
Solidarity: We strive to build unity among immigrant communities, and between immigrant communities and other communities struggling for liberation.
Immigrant Leadership: Immigrants should be in control of the decisions that affect our lives.
Dignity: We reject labels like “good immigrant” and “bad immigrant” which divide our communities. No human being is undesirable.
Equality: We oppose homophobia, sexism, racism, ableism, and classism which only serve to divide and build resentment.
Immigrant Contributions: We value all immigrants as people, regardless of immigration status and respect diverse principles, customs, and cultural perspectives.
