Committees
Alliance and Capacity Building (ACB) Committee
BAIRC’s ACB Committee:

Increases the capacity of Coalition members to get involved in campaigns, provides political education to our membership, and ensures that the political education reaches broader communities.

Develops strategies that help the Coalition work with state and national organizations.

Recruits active participants to BAIRC’s campaigns.

Ensures that our priorities and campaigns are informed by the needs and voice of grassroots communities.

Builds alliances between groups from different ethnic communities and sectors with the goal of creating better understanding and solidarity

Maintains close communication with the Policy Committee.


Fundraising and Finance Committee
BAIRC’s Fundraising and Finance Committee:

Develops BAIRC’s annual budget.

Ensures that BAIRC maintains financial controls.

Creates BAIRC’s fundraising plan.

Identifies opportunities for BAIRC members to get involved in grassroots fundraising for the Coalition.

Supports BAIRC’s staff in fundraising activities such as grant writing and developing direct appeals.


Policy Committee
BAIRC’s Policy Committee:

Develops and makes decisions on policy positions, including endorsement requests.

Monitors public policy developments at the local, state, and federal levels.

Develops responses to critical public policy developments that fall outside of BAIRC’s campaign areas.

Educates immigrant communities about public policy developments that may impact our communities.


Campaign Committees
BAIRC’s campaign committees:

Develop a plan of action that includes goals, strategies, and outcomes for the campaign.

Incorporate grassroots education and media advocacy into campaign efforts.

Evaluate the campaign’s success.
